Volvo was previously to launch the XC40 Recharge back in 2021 but it got stuck due to the COVID-19 crisis. Now since the Swedish automaker is all geared to unveil its first EV in the country, it has also revealed that the SUV will be assembled locally in India.
Volvo XC40 Recharge Features
Volvo will equip the upcoming XC40 Recharge with a 78kWh battery pack that will offer a claimed range of 418 km on a single charge. The electric motor will produce a power of 408hp and a peak torque of 660Nm. The pure electric SUV will accelerate from 0-100kmph in 4.9 seconds. The maximum speed will be capped at 180kmph. The Indian version of Volvo CX40 Recharge will be more like its global counterpart. The battery of the electric SUV will support a 150kW DC fast charger. It will refill the electric car from 10% to 80% in 28 minutes. It has a thing wheel arch cladding with wider body cladding. It will run on alloy wheels. Feature-wise, Volvo CX40 Recharge the XC40 Recharge will boast a 12.3-inch digital driver cluster with a 9.0-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment display. It will come with built-in Google Assistant, Google Maps, and other Google apps. Other features will include 100% leather-free upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, a Harman Kardon sound system, etc.
Volvo XC40 Recharge Price and Availability
The pricing details of the upcoming Volvo XC40 Recharge will be out on the launch date, though it is all set to fight against the newly launched Kia EV6 and the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq. The delivery of XC40 Recharge could start during the festive season while the booking could commence post the launch.
